Job summary

People Solutions is recruiting an HGV Class 2 Driver for a Warrington, Cheshire-based logistics client. The role offers consistent weekday shifts, guaranteed minimum shift pay, and ongoing work with an established company. Ideal candidates will have prior HGV Class 2/ LGV Class 2 experience and valid licences.

Shifts run Monday to Friday with AM starts from 07:00. Weekly pay and holiday pay accrued separately are provided alongside a comprehensive training programme and a supportive transport

Qualifications

• Minimum six months' HGV Class 2 driving experience.
• Valid UK Category C Driving Licence.
• Valid Driver CPC Card.
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card.

Responsibilities

• Drive Category C vehicles safely and efficiently.
• Complete trunking, drop and swap deliveries.
• Operate curtain-sided vehicles and secure loads.

HGV Class 2 Driver - Warrington - £16.00 Per Hour - Monday to Friday

People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 2 Driver to join our well-established client based in Warrington, Cheshire.

This is a fantastic opportunity offering consistent weekday shifts, guaranteed minimum shift pay and ongoing work with an established logistics company.

This position is ideal for applicants who have previously worked as an HGV Class 2 Driver, LGV Class 2 Driver, Category C Driver, Rigid HGV Driver or Class 2 Trunking Driver.

Shifts

• Monday to Friday
• AM starts from 07:00
• Ongoing work available

Rates of Pay

• £16.00 per hour

Day-to-Day Duties

• Driving Category C vehicles safely and efficiently
• Completing trunking, drop and swap deliveries
• Operating curtain-sided vehicles
• Securing loads using straps where required
• Taking photographs to confirm successful deliveries
• Providing excellent customer service at delivery locations
• Reporting customer concerns promptly to management
• Completing vehicle checks before and after shifts
• Reporting vehicle defects and maintenance issues
• Complying with drivers' hours, tachograph and road transport regulations

Essential Skills

• Minimum six months' HGV Class 2 driving experience
• Valid UK Category C Driving Licence
• Valid Driver CPC Card
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card
• No more than six penalty points for minor offences
• No major endorsements, including DR10, DG10, IN10 or TT99
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Good spoken and written English
• Excellent timekeeping and reliability
