Responsibilities

• Operate a Class 2 (Category C) vehicle for local deliveries and collections across Kent and surrounding areas.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks.
• Assist with general yard duties when required.
• Support depot operations and companion duties as needed.

We are currently recruiting an experienced HGV Class 2 Driver for our client based in Paddock Wood, Kent. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional HGV Class 2 Driver looking for a long-term role with excellent pay and the potential to secure a permanent position.

Location: Paddock Wood, Kent

Pay Rate: £18.00 per hour (PAYE)

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm

No weekend work

Contract: Ongoing temporary role with a temp-to-perm opportunity

The Role

As an HGV Class 2 Driver, you will be responsible for operating a Class 2 (Category C) vehicle carrying out local deliveries and collections across Kent and the surrounding areas. This role is ideal for an experienced Class 2 Driver, HGV Driver, LGV Driver, Cat C Driver, Category C Driver, Rigid Driver or Delivery Driver seeking regular weekday work.

Alongside driving duties, the successful HGV Class 2 Driver will also support yard operations when required.

HGV Class 2 Driver Duties Include:

• Local deliveries and collections (depot-to-depot)
• Driving a Class 2 / Category C vehicle
• Assisting with general yard duties during quieter periods
• Completing daily vehicle checks

HGV Class 2 Driver Requirements

• Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) Licence
• Valid Driver CPC Qualification
• Digital Tachograph Card
• Previous experience as an HGV Class 2 Driver, Class 2 Driver, LGV Driver, Category C Driver, or Cat C Driver
• Positive attitude and willingness to assist with yard duties
