Job summary

Comton Group based in Kidderminster is seeking an experienced Class 2 HGV Driver to join our growing team. The role involves delivering stainless steel long products and pallets to customers nationwide, with regular delivery runs and occasional nights out.

You will drive a 26-tonne DAF flatbed, load and secure loads, complete delivery documentation, perform daily vehicle checks, and maintain a professional, safety-focused approach with customers.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 2 (C) HGV licence.
• CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Previous Class 2 driving experience.
• Experience with flatbed vehicles would be advantageous.
• Experience transporting steel, stainless steel or long products desirable.
• Good knowledge of UK roads.
• Strong commitment to health & safety.
• Reliable, professional and customer-focused.
• Comfortable with occasional nights out.

Responsibilities

• Driving a 26-tonne DAF flatbed vehicle.
• Making nationwide deliveries of stainless steel products and pallets.
• Completing regular delivery runs.

About the Role

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Class 2 HGV Driver to join a growing team based in Kidderminster.

You will be responsible for delivering stainless steel long products and pallets to customers nationwide. The role involves regular delivery runs, giving you the opportunity to become familiar with your routes and customers.

There may be occasional nights out depending on the delivery schedule.
