Job summary

Driver Hire Northampton & Daventry is recruiting for an HGV Class 2 driver based in Northampton. You will deliver and collect goods across the UK on a Monday–Friday schedule with early start times depending on the run.

This family‑run business supplies metals to automotive and engineering sectors and values reliability and professional conduct. The role requires a valid Class 2 licence, Tachograph and CPC, with up to 6 points and at least 12 months’ experience.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 2 (C) licence.
• Tachograph & CPC qualifications.
• No more than 6 points on licence.
• Minimum 12 months Class 2 driving experience.

Responsibilities

• Deliveries and collections to customers across the UK.
• Delivering goods with care.
• Occasionally assist with light handballing.
• Ability to strap the load.
• Flatbed vehicle operation.
• Driving 7.5T and Class 2 vehicles.

Description of the customer

We are now recruiting experienced Class 2 driver for a well-established family run business in Northampton. The company supply all forms of Aluminium, Brass, Copper, Bronze and Stainless Steel to the automotive, engineering and fabrication industry.

£15.00 per hour (PAYE) / £16.81 per hour (PAYE Advanced)

Deliveries and collections to customers across the UK

• Delivering goods with care.
• Occasionally you would assist with light handballing
• Ability to strap the load
• Flatbed vehicle
• Would be required to driver 7.5T and Class 2

Skills / qualifications

Valid C licence (Class 2)

Valid Tachograph & CPC

No more than 6 Points or Major Offences

Minimum of 12 months Class 2 driving experience
