Job summary

Jewson Rotherham is seeking an Area HGV Class 2 Driver. You will deliver building materials to customers, operate a HIAB crane, and support team members in a varied role across the Rotherham cluster including Sheffield and Barnsley branches.

You will hold a valid HGV Class 2 licence with CPC/Digi Tachograph cards. Multidrop experience is helpful but not mandatory. This is a customer-facing delivery role with opportunities for career progression.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 2 license and CPC Card with Digi Tachograph.
• Multidrop experience is handy but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Safely deliver building materials to customer sites with a professional approach.
• Load and unload goods; operate the HIAB crane as required.
• Cover absence within a designated area across Jewson Rotherham, Sheffield and Barnsley branches.

What To Expect

As a customer delivery driver and the face of the company, we’ll need you to safely deliver building materials to our customers with a professional and friendly approach. Every day is different, from the number of drops you’ll do, to where you will be delivering. You’ll be loading and unloading, operating the crane and supporting team members when needed, offering you job satisfaction in an incredibly varied role.

As an Area driver you will be required to cover absence within a designated area.

You will be assigned to our Jewson Rotherham branch and required to cover a cluster of branches.

These branches are: Sheffield and Barnsley

What are we looking for?

• A valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence
• A valid CPC Card and Digi Tachograph card
• Whilst multidrop experience is handy, it's not a necessity
