Job summary

Bestway Group is seeking an HGV Class 2 Driver to join our team in the UK. You will deliver orders from our Delivery Centre or Hub to customers, maintaining safety, efficiency and on-time performance. You will represent the company and provide excellent customer service while adhering to transport regulations and procedures.

The role requires loading/unloading, daily vehicle checks, and accurate completion of delivery paperwork. A reliable team player with good communication is essential.

Qualifications

• Holds a valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) UK driving licence.
• Driver Qualification Card (CPC) and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Excellent timekeeping and reliability.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Flexible and adaptable approach to work.

Responsibilities

• Complete multi-drop deliveries within the local area, ensuring customers receive their orders on time.
• Work with the depot team to ensure all orders are loaded correctly before departure.
• Load and unload stock safely and efficiently.
• Ensure delivery paperwork is completed accurately and customer payments are received where required.
• Drive responsibly, ensuring compliance with all legal and company requirements.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks, reporting defects promptly and maintaining accurate records.
• Manage chilled and frozen deliveries in line with company procedures.
• Maintain vehicle, stock, and equipment security at all times.
• Uphold the highest standards of customer service.
• Follow all health and safety procedures and ensure PPE is used correctly.
• Maintain housekeeping standards for both the vehicle and depot.
• Ensure all transport compliance documentation is maintained in accordance with company guidelines.

We currently have an opportunity for an HGV Class 2 Driver to join our team.

The Ideal Candidate

• Holds a valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) UK driving licence, Driver Qualification Card (CPC), and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Good knowledge of transport legislation and compliance requirements.
• Excellent timekeeping and reliability.
• Flexible and adaptable approach to work.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
