Job summary

Bestway Group is hiring an HGV Class 2 Driver to join our transport team in the UK. You will deliver orders from our Delivery Centre or Hub to customers, ensuring safe, timely, and compliant deliveries while providing excellent customer service.

You will load/unload, complete paperwork, and perform daily vehicle checks, working with depot colleagues to maintain high service standards.

Qualifications

• Holds a valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) UK driving licence, Driver Qualification Card (CPC) and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Good knowledge of transport legislation and compliance requirements.
• Excellent timekeeping and reliability.
• Flexible and adaptable approach to work.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Positive attitude and commitment to delivering excellent service.

Responsibilities

• Complete multi-drop deliveries within the local area, ensuring customers receive their orders on time.
• Work with the depot team to ensure all orders are loaded correctly before departure.
• Load and unload stock safely and efficiently.
• Ensure delivery paperwork is completed accurately and customer payments are received where required.
• Drive responsibly, ensuring compliance with all legal and company requirements.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks, reporting defects promptly and maintaining accurate records.
• Manage chilled and frozen deliveries in line with company procedures.
• Maintain vehicle, stock, and equipment security at all times.
• Uphold the highest standards of customer service.
• Follow all health and safety procedures and ensure PPE is used correctly.
• Maintain housekeeping standards for both the vehicle and depot.
• Ensure all transport compliance documentation is maintained in accordance with company guidelines.
