Job summary

Bestway Group in the United Kingdom is seeking a committed HGV Class 2 driver to join our delivery team. You will handle multi-drop deliveries from the hub to customers, ensuring on-time, accurate, and safe arrivals.

The ideal candidate holds a valid HGV Class 2 licence, CPC, and tachograph card, has good knowledge of transport rules, excellent timekeeping, and strong customer service skills. We offer a competitive hourly rate, pension, 22 days holiday and onsite parking.

Qualifications

• Holds a valid HGV Class 2 UK driving licence, CPC, and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Good knowledge of transport legislation and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Complete multi-drop deliveries within the local area, ensuring customers receive their orders on time.
• Work with the depot team to ensure all orders are loaded correctly before departure.
• Load and unload stock safely and efficiently.
• Ensure delivery paperwork is completed accurately and customer payments are received where required.
• Drive responsibly, ensuring compliance with all legal and company requirements.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks, reporting defects promptly and maintaining accurate records.
• Manage chilled and frozen deliveries in line with company procedures.
• Maintain vehicle, stock, and equipment security at all times.
• Uphold the highest standards of customer service.
• Follow all health and safety procedures and ensure PPE is used correctly.
• Maintain housekeeping standards for both the vehicle and depot.
• Ensure all transport compliance documentation is maintained in accordance with company guidelines.
