Bestway Group in the United Kingdom is seeking an experienced HGV Class 2 Driver to join our delivery team in the Glasgow area. You will deliver orders from our Delivery Centre or Hub to customers, ensuring on-time, safe, and compliant deliveries while representing the business professionally.

The role emphasizes loading/unloading, completing delivery paperwork, and maintaining vehicle and equipment, with a strong emphasis on customer service and compliance with transport regulations.

Qualifications

• Holds a valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) UK driving licence.
• Driver Qualification Card (CPC) and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Good knowledge of transport legislation & compliance requirements.
• Excellent timekeeping and reliability.
• Flexible and adaptable approach to work.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Complete multi-drop deliveries within the local area, ensuring customers receive their orders on time.
• Load and unload stock safely and efficiently.
• Drive responsibly, ensuring compliance with all legal and company requirements.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks, reporting defects promptly and maintaining accurate records.
• Manage chilled and frozen deliveries in line with company procedures.
• Maintain vehicle, stock, and equipment security at all times.
• Uphold the highest standards of customer service.

About the Role

We currently have an opportunity for an HGV Class 2 Driver to join our team.

You will be responsible for delivering orders from our Delivery Centre or Hub to customers, ensuring deliveries are completed safely, efficiently, and on time. As a key representative of the business, you will provide excellent customer service while ensuring compliance with all transport regulations and company procedures.

Responsibilities

• Work with the depot team to ensure all orders are loaded correctly before departure.
• Load and unload stock safely and efficiently.
• Ensure delivery paperwork is completed accurately and customer payments are received where required.
• Drive responsibly, ensuring compliance with all legal and company requirements.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks, reporting defects promptly and maintaining accurate records.
• Manage chilled and frozen deliveries in line with company procedures.
• Maintain vehicle, stock, and equipment security at all times.
• Uphold the highest standards of customer service.
• Follow all health and safety procedures and ensure PPE is used correctly.
• Maintain housekeeping standards for both the vehicle and depot.
• Ensure all transport compliance documentation is maintained in accordance with company guidelines.

The Ideal Candidate

• Holds a valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) UK driving licence, Driver Qualification Card (CPC), and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Good knowledge of transport legislation and compliance requirements.
• Excellent timekeeping and reliability.
• Flexible and adaptable approach to work.
