Job summary

Pioneer Selection Ltd in Manchester is seeking a Class 2 Driver to join our logistics team. The role includes day runs and overnight deliveries, around 12–15 drops daily, with ownership for safe, on-time deliveries.

You will work Mon-Fri, about 45 hours weekly, with overnight stays 2–3 nights per week and £24 per night allowance. The role offers a £36,000 salary, pension contributions, private medical insurance and a discretionary bonus scheme.

Qualifications

• Valid UK Class 2 driving licence.
• At least 3 years' experience in a similar Class 2 Driver role.
• Previous delivery driving experience.
• Clean UK driving licence.
• Manual handling experience.
• Ability to work safely within a warehouse and fleet environment.
• Flexibility to complete overnight stays and varying start/finish times.
• Minimum age of 25 due to insurance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Deliveries with 12–15 drops per day.

CLASS 2 DRIVER

Job Title - Class 2 Driver
Location - Radcliffe, Manchester
Salary: £36,000
Shift: Monday–Friday, 45 hours per week, early starts and varying finish times. Overnight stays typically 2–3 nights per week, paid at an additional £24 per night.

Job Role of the Class 2 Driver

You will be responsible for carrying out delivery driving to meet customer demands, with an average of 12–15 drops per day. You will also occasionally support with picking, packing, loading and unloading, ensuring all customer deliveries are completed safely, accurately and on time.

The role will involve both day runs and overnight deliveries, with flexibility essential as start and finish times will vary depending on the allocated run.

Non-Negotiable Requirements of the Class 2 Driver

• Valid UK Class 2 driving licence.

• Ability to use IT databases and keyboard systems.
• Reliable, committed and able to work effectively as part of a team.
• Physically and mentally capable of manual/mechanical work.

Desirable Requirements for the Class 2 Driver

• Fork Lift Truck licence or previous FLT experience.
• Warehouse, picking and packing experience.
• Previous experience working within a manufacturing or distribution environment.
