Job summary

HG Recruitment is seeking a Professional HGV Driver Class 1 for Southeast London deliveries. You will handle store deliveries, ensure load security, and maintain excellent customer service on every run.

We offer reliable shifts with overtime, guaranteed hours per shift, and strong support from a dedicated transport team. A valid HGV Class 1 licence with limited points and Tacho/Card credentials are essential.

Qualifications

• HGV Class 1 licence with no more than six points and minimum 6 months of experience.
• Digital Tacho and Driver Qualification Cards.
• Strong understanding of Drivers Hours, regulations, and Working Time Directive.
• Excellent geographical knowledge.
• Customer-focused attitude.

Responsibilities

• Adhering to safe working practices to ensure safety of yourself and others.
• Secure load of the trailer to minimise damage.
• Provide excellent customer service and take ownership of issues on delivery.
• Identify vehicle defects and report to Transport Office as necessary.
• Demonstrate good communication and flexible can-do attitude.

RATE OF PAY: £21.61 - £26.82 per hour based on shift times

DUTIES:

• Adhering to safe working practices to always ensure the safety of yourself and others.
• Securing load of the trailer to ensure products are safely secured to minimise chances of damage.
• Always provide excellent customer service and to take ownership of customer issues on delivery.
• Be aware of any vehicle defects and bring to the attention of Transport Office as necessary
• Possess excellent customer facing awareness skills
• Be a good timekeeper and be able to work unsupervised
• Possess an Enthusiastic and reliable attitude towards delivering first class customer service
• Must have good communication skills and a flexible can-do attitude to work
