Job summary

HG Recruitment are recruiting HGV Class 1 Drivers in Hemel Hempstead, HP2 7DX, in partnership with Booker Retail. The role offers 55 hours weekly with a typical weekly pay of £1,276.79 and an expected annual earnings around £60k. Duties include multi-drop deliveries, load security and delivering first-class customer service.

Shifts are 0400–0800 with Monday–Sunday coverage, and benefits include a pension scheme, training, and 24/7 support from a driver-focused team.

Qualifications

• Class 1 licence minimum 12 months
• Digi Tacho & CPC cards
• Maximum 6 points for minor endorsements
• Knowledge of driver regulations (WTD & Drivers Hours)
• Good national geographical awareness
• Excellent customer facing awareness skills
• Good timekeeper and able to work unsupervised
• Enthusiastic and reliable with a commitment to delivering first class customer service
• Must have good communication skills and a flexible can-do attitude to work

Responsibilities

• Adhering to safe working practices to always ensure the safety of yourself and others.
• Securing load of the trailer to ensure products are safely secured to minimise chances of damage.
• Always provide excellent customer service and to take ownership of customer issues on delivery.
• HGV Class 1 Drivers must carry out multi-drop deliveries within the delivery window in a safe manner.
• Be aware of any vehicle defects and bring to the attention of Transport Office as necessary
• Possess excellent customer facing awareness skills
• Be a good timekeeper and be able to work unsupervised
• Possess an Enthusiastic and reliable attitude towards delivering first class customer service
• Must have good communication skills and a flexible can-do attitude to work

• Days : £20.44-25.37 per hour PAYE accrued and RUP options available

Estimated weekly pay based on 55 hours £1276.79 per week
