Job summary

HARPER & GUY CONSULTING LTD in Barnsley is seeking an experienced HGV Class 2 Driver for various flexible shifts, with start times around midnight. This role offers day and night rates and a clear path to ongoing, secure work with a focus on safety and reliability.

Key duties include securing loads, depot-to-depot deliveries, and strict compliance with driver regulations. Onsite training, CPC upskilling, and support from a driver-focused team are provided to help you excel.

Qualifications

• HGV Class 2 licence minimum 3 months.
• Maximum 6 points for minor endorsements.
• Knowledge of driver regulations (WTD & Drivers Hours).
• Good national geographical awareness.
• Good timekeeper and able to work unsupervised.
• Enthusiastic and reliable with a commitment to delivering first class customer service.
• Must have good communication skills and a flexible can-do attitude to work.

WORK PATTERN:Various flexible shift patterns available - start times 00:00 - 01:00
RATE OF PAY:Days - £14.70 per hour / Nights - £16.17 per hour (all rates inclusive of holiday pay)

• Adhering to safe working practices to always ensure the safety of yourself and others.
• Securing load of the trailer to ensure products are safely secured to minimise chances of damage.

• Minimum 8 hours guaranteed per shift with planned Average 10 hours shift
• Flexible shifts times to suit availability with consistent regular ongoing work and job security
