Job summary

HG Recruitment is seeking professional HGV Class 2 drivers for Newton Le Willows. Shifts are days, with accurate deliveries and compliant driving. Candidates should hold a Class 2 licence with CPC and tachograph card, plus multi-drop experience.

We offer competitive rates of £16.81 per hour (holiday pay included) and a typical weekly pay of about £756.45 for 45 hours, with 24/7 manned support when needed.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence.
• CPC qualification and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Previous multi-drop delivery experience, ideally in FMCG or cash & carry.
• Good knowledge of local road networks and safe driving practices.
• physically fit and able to handle manual loads.

Responsibilities

• Carry out multi-drop deliveries to retail, hospitality and business customers.
• Safely operate a Class 2 vehicle in line with road safety regulations.
• Complete daily vehicle checks and report defects.
• Load and unload goods, often involving manual handling.
• Ensure deliveries are accurate and supported by paperwork.
• Follow planned routes and delivery schedules and maintain tachograph compliance.

DUTIES:

• Carry out multi-drop deliveries to retail, hospitality, and business customers
• Safely operate a Class 2 vehicle in line with road and safety regulations
• Complete daily vehicle checks and report any defects
• Load and unload goods, often involving manual handling
• Ensure all deliveries are accurate and supported by correct paperwork
• Follow planned routes and delivery schedules
• Adhere to all driving laws, working time directives, and tachograph regulations

• Monday to Friday
• 8 12 Hour Shifts
• Days Shifts
• Manned 24/7 availability

Requirements:

• Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence
• Valid CPC qualification and Digital Tachograph Card
• Previous multi-drop delivery experience (ideally in a cash & carry or FMCG environment)
• Good knowledge of local road networks
• Physically fit due to manual handling requirements
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Reliable, punctual, and professional attitude
