Job summary

HG Recruitment are recruiting for a HGV Class 1 driver in the Goole area to complete multi-drop store deliveries for a major supermarket chain. Reliable, professional drivers with a valid HGV Class 1 licence and CPC are invited to apply.

Shifts include days and nights, 8+ hours per shift with typical 10–12 hour days. PAYE rates £17.00–£19.05 per hour depending on shift, with weekly pay around £850 for 50 hours and an estimated annual earnings of about £44,200.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 1 Licence with CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Max 6 points on licence; good knowledge of driver hours regulations.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to complete multi-drop deliveries and manual handling.
• Reliable, professional and able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Carry out multi-drop store and RDC work safely and promptly.
• Ensure loads are secure and transported safely.
• Provide excellent customer service during deliveries.
• Complete delivery paperwork and use handheld devices as required.
• Adhere to driver hours regulations and report defects or issues.

RATES: HGV Class 1

• Days: £17.00 ph (PAYE) | £19.05 (Rolled up)
• Nights:£18.00 ph (PAYE) | £20.17 (Rolled Up)

We are looking for reliable and customer-focused HGV Class 1 Drivers to complete multi-drop store deliveries for a major supermarket chain.

DUTIES

• Carrying out multi-drop store and RDC work in a safe and timely manner
• Ensuring loads are secure and transported safely
• Providing excellent customer service during deliveries
• Completing delivery paperwork and using handheld devices where required
• Adhering to driver hours regulations and working time rules
• Reporting any vehicle defects or delivery issues to the transport office
