Expect Distribution Limited is hiring a Night shift HGV Class 1 Driver to join our team. You will transport goods safely to locations across the UK, performing daily vehicle checks and ensuring loads are secure.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a HGV Class 1 vehicle.
• Deliver and collect goods as scheduled.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report defects.

• Complete delivery paperwork and digital records.
• Follow drivers hours, tachograph, and Working Time rules.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and roadworthiness.
• Communicate with transport planners, customers and depot staff.

Position Overview:

We are hiring a HGV Class 1 Driver to join our team on the night shift. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods to various locations. Being a Class 1 Driver requires strong communication skills, a valid commercial driving licence, and a commitment to maintaining high safety standards while on the road.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate a HGV Class 1 vehicle
• Deliver and collect goods according to planned routes and schedules
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report defects promptly
• Ensure loads are secure and transported safely
• Complete delivery paperwork and digital records accurately
• Comply with EU/UK drivers’ hours, tachograph, and Working Time Directive rules
• Maintain cleanliness and roadworthiness of the vehicle
• Communicate effectively with transport planners, customers, and depot staff.

Role Requirements

• Valid HGV Class 1 licence (minimum of 6 months experience is required)
