Expect Distribution Limited is hiring a Night shift HGV Class 1 Driver to join our team. You will transport goods safely to locations across the UK, performing daily vehicle checks and ensuring loads are secure.

The role requires a valid HGV Class 1 licence with up to 6 months experience, strong time management, and the ability to work independently on night routes. We offer a supportive, growth-focused environment within a respected logistics network.

Qualifications

• HGV Class 1 licence with at least 6 months experience.
• No more than 6 penalty points on licence.
• Good knowledge of road safety and transport regulations.
• Strong time management and organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently.
• Good geographical knowledge or navigation skills.
• Physically fit for manual tasks.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a HGV Class 1 vehicle.
• Deliver and collect goods as scheduled.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report defects.
• Ensure loads are secure and transported safely.
• Complete delivery paperwork and digital records.
• Follow drivers hours, tachograph, and Working Time rules.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and roadworthiness.
• Communicate with transport planners, customers and depot staff.
