Job summary

Royal Mail is seeking a HGV Class 1 Tramper Driver based in Preston. The role involves nationwide deliveries with a drop-and-swap collection style, servicing depots across the country, and no multi-drop assignments.

Shifts are 12 hours on a rota that runs 24-7, with pre-booked shifts to support work-life balance. Applicants must hold a full UK Class C+E licence, valid CPC and digital tachograph card, and have at least 12 months of HGV Class 1 experience.

Contract Type: Pre-booked, ongoing

Location: Preston, PR2

Pay Rates

• Monday - Thursday: £19.15ph and £27.25ph OT after 8 hours
• Friday: £19.15ph until midnight, £24.52ph after and £27.25ph OT after 8 hours
• Saturday: £24.52ph until midnight, £27.25ph after and £27.25ph OT after 8 hours
• Sunday: £27.25ph until midnight, £19.15ph after and £27.25ph OT after 8 hours
• Night out allowance: £28.87 per night

45-minute break deducted daily and rates increase after 12 weeks service.

• Shifts: Operation runs 24-7 Monday to Sunday - Rota TBC
• Average Shift Length: 12 hours
