Job summary

We Are Workforce Ltd is recruiting an HGV Class 1 Shunter Driver for our Skelmersdale depot. The role offers full-time hours with a temp ongoing contract and a competitive pay package including a £20 weekly supplement.

Shunter duties include moving trailers, performing routine checks, and maintaining safety standards. Shifts are 4 on 4 off with starts at 06:00, with day or night rates depending on the schedule.

Qualifications

• Valid UK Class 1 (C+E) Licence required.
• Driver CPC qualification required.
• Digital Tachograph Card and knowledge of Drivers' Hours Regulations required.

Responsibilities

• Operate a Terberg unit to move trailers and vehicles safely within the depot.
• Position vehicles and trailers in designated locations.
• Carry out vehicle and trailer checks as per procedures.

We are currently recruiting HGV Class 1 Shunter Driverto join our busy operation in Skelmersdale

This is afull-time,Temp- ongoingopportunityoffering regular hours, competitive rates of pay.

Shift Pattern

• 4on4off
• Start Time: 06:00

Pay Rates

Day pay rates:

• Monday – Friday £17.30 (overtime after 47.5hrs £19.46)
• Saturday £19.46
• Sunday and Bank Holidays £25.95

Nights pay rates:

• Monday – Friday £19.77 (overtime after 47.5hrs £21.92)
• Saturday £21.92
• Sunday and Bank Holidays £28.41

Additional£20 weekly supplementary payment

Onlyone 30-minute unpaid break deducted per shift

Key Responsibilities

• Operate a Terberg unit to safely move trailers and vehicles around the depot.
• Position vehicles and trailers in designated locations.
• Carry out vehicle and trailer checks in line with company procedures.
• Ensure all yard movements are completed safely and efficiently.
• Adhere to site health & safety and compliance requirements at all times.
• Complete all relevant paperwork and records accurately.
• Maintain high standards of professionalism and safe working practices.

Requirements

• Valid UK Class 1 (C+E) Licence.

• Good understanding of Drivers' Hours and Working Time Regulations.
