Job summary

We Are Workforce Ltd in Skelmersdale is recruiting an HGV Class 1 Shunter Driver on a full-time, temp-ongoing basis, with regular hours and a weekly £20 supplement.

Shift pattern is 4 on, 4 off, starting at 06:00, with day and night pay rates plus weekend rates. You will move trailers safely, complete checks, and comply with health and safety standards while maintaining high professionalism.

Qualifications

• Valid UK Class 1 (C+E) licence and CPC required.
• Digital Tachograph Card and knowledge of Drivers' Hours/WTR.
• Commitment to safety and compliance is essential.

Responsibilities

• Operate a Terberg unit to move trailers and vehicles safely.
• Position vehicles and trailers in designated locations.
• Carry out vehicle and trailer checks per procedures.
• Ensure yard movements are safe and efficient.
• Complete paperwork accurately and maintain safety standards.

We are currently recruiting HGV Class 1 Shunter Driverto join our busy operation in Skelmersdale

This is afull-time,Temp- ongoingopportunityoffering regular hours, competitive rates of pay.

Shift Pattern

• 4on4off
• Start Time: 06:00

Pay Rates

Day pay rates:

• Monday – Friday £17.30 (overtime after 47.5hrs £19.46)
• Saturday £19.46
• Sunday and Bank Holidays £25.95

Nights pay rates:

• Monday – Friday £19.77 (overtime after 47.5hrs £21.92)
• Saturday £21.92
• Sunday and Bank Holidays £28.41

Additional£20 weekly supplementary payment

Onlyone 30-minute unpaid break deducted per shift

Key Responsibilities

• Operate a Terberg unit to safely move trailers and vehicles around the depot.
• Position vehicles and trailers in designated locations.
• Carry out vehicle and trailer checks in line with company procedures.
• Ensure all yard movements are completed safely and efficiently.
• Adhere to site health & safety and compliance requirements at all times.
• Complete all relevant paperwork and records accurately.
• Maintain high standards of professionalism and safe working practices.

Requirements
