Job summary

People Solutions is recruiting for a HGV Class 1 Driver to join our client in Lutterworth. This role offers competitive hourly rates, ongoing work and weekly pay with immediate starts.

You will operate Class 1 vehicles, perform pre-trip inspections, and ensure cargo is secured. Must hold UK CE licence, CPC and Tachograph cards, and have English proficiency.

Qualifications

• Must hold UK Category CE Driving Licence.
• Minimum 12 months experience driving CE vehicles.
• No more than six penalty points, no major endorsement codes.
• Must have UK Driver CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Ability to read and speak English to a good standard.

Responsibilities

• Completing trunking depot-to-depot deliveries with double-deck trailers.
• Carrying out supplier collections as required.
• Operate and drive Class 1 vehicles safely to and from delivery locations.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Ensure all cargo is loaded and secured properly.
• Adhere to traffic laws and regulations.

HGV CLASS 1 DRIVER - Lutterworth

People Solutions are currently recruiting for a HGV Class 1 Driver to join our well-established client based in Lutterworth.

This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay, ongoing work, weekly pay, and immediate starts.

This role would also suit candidates with previous experience as an LGV Class 1 Driver, CE Driver, or Class 1 HGV Driver.

Rates of Pay:

• Basic: £18.35 per hour
• Overtime after 9 hours: £24.41 per hour

Shift Pattern:

• Sunday to Thursday
• Start times between 21:00 and 00:00

Day-to-Day Duties:

As an HGV Class 1 Driver, you will work:

Essential Skills:

To be successful as an HGV Class 1 Driver, you will need:

• A valid UK Category CE Driving Licence
• A minimum of 12 months' experience driving Category CE vehicles
• No more than six penalty points for minor infringements and no major endorsement codes
• A valid UK Driver CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card
• The ability to speak and read English to a good standard

Desirable Experience:

• Experience driving commercial vehicles would be beneficial

Training Provided:

• Assessment carried out on the first shift
• Industry-related training and ongoing support provided throughout the assignment
