Job summary

People Solutions are actively recruiting for an HGV Class 1 Driver to join our client in Rugby, Warwickshire. The role offers regular hours, excellent hourly rates, and weekly pay with opportunities for growth and progression.

You will operate Category CE vehicles, complete pre-use checks, secure cargo, and adhere to UK transport regulations. A valid CE licence, Driver CPC, and 12 months CE experience are required.

Qualifications

• A valid UK Category CE Driving Licence.
• A minimum of twelve months' experience driving Category CE vehicles.
• No more than six penalty points for minor infringements.
• A valid UK Driver CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Good spoken and written English.
• Excellent punctuality and timekeeping.
• A good understanding of UK road traffic laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Completing Class 1 trailer drop and swap work between depots.
• Carrying out manual work with curtain-side trailers, including removing and replacing safety bars.
• Operating and driving Category CE vehicles safely and efficiently.
• Carrying out pre- and post-journey vehicle inspections.
• Ensuring all cargo is loaded and secured correctly.
• Adhering to UK traffic laws and transport regulations.
• Communicating effectively with the transport office and site teams.
• Reporting any vehicle defects or maintenance requirements.

HGV Class 1 Driver - Rugby

People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 1 Driver to join our well-established client based in Rugby, Warwickshire.

This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay, ongoing work, weekly pay, and genuine opportunities for growth and progression.

This role would also suit candidates with previous experience as an LGV Class 1 Driver, CategoryCE Driver, or Articulated Lorry Driver.

Rates of Pay:

• Monday to Friday: £18.00 per hour
• Saturday: £20.00 per hour
• Sunday: £22.00 per hour

Shift Pattern:

• Four on, four off rota (rota provided)
• Night shifts
• Start times between 18:00 and 20:00

Day-to-Day Duties:

As an HGV Class 1 Driver, you will work:

Essential Skills:
