Job summary

The Best Connection is recruiting experienced HGV Class 1 (LGV C+E) Drivers for our client in Felling, Gateshead, a leading name in the general haulage and waste sector. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity offering varied driving work and potential for long-term employment.

The role includes trunking, deliveries, and customer-facing duties with Monday to Friday starts at 07:00. PAYE rate is £15 per hour with a £25 night-out uplift where applicable, and there are opportunities for ongoing

Qualifications

• Valid UK Class 1 (C+E) driving licence.
• At least two years of commercial Class 1 driving experience.
• No more than six penalty points on licence.
• Professional appearance and positive attitude.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Trunking runs, collections and deliveries.
• Tramping opportunities available.
• Customer-facing duties requiring a professional and friendly approach.
• Monday to Friday shifts, starting at 07:00.
