Job summary

The Best Connection is recruiting for HGV Class 1 (CE) Night Drivers for an ongoing position at Team Valley, Gateshead. The role offers a 4 on / 4 off pattern, night shifts, and regular ongoing work with a potential to go permanent for the right candidate.

Required are a valid UK HGV Class 1 licence, Driver CPC, and Digital Tachograph Card, plus experience in trunking or night driving. Competitive hourly pay applies with shifts including weekends and bank holidays.

Qualifications

• Valid UK HGV Class 1 (CE) driving licence.
• Driver CPC qualification.
• Digital Tachograph Card.
• Experience in HGV Class 1, trunking or night driving preferred.

Responsibilities

• HGV Class 1 night driving: trunking and transport duties during night hours.
• Perform trunking between sites without multi-drop deliveries.
• Shunt vehicles on client site as required.
• Carry out vehicle safety checks and ensure loads are secure.
