Job summary

Driver Hire Edinburgh City is seeking reliable HGV drivers for a well-established client in the poultry sector. Role starts on a temporary basis with potential temp-to-perm for the right candidate. Training is provided before driving duties, with early morning starts and 8-hour shifts guaranteed.

Opportunities for ongoing work and progression exist within a demanding, safety-focused environment. Ideal candidates will have a valid UK HGV licence, Driver CPC, and tachograph card, plus experience

Qualifications

• Must hold valid UK HGV licence, Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph card.
• Experience with tail lifts and both manual and electric pallet trucks.
• Physically fit and able to perform regular lifting and manual handling.

Responsibilities

• Drive HGV vehicles safely and professionally.
• Complete multi-drop collections throughout the day.
• Load and unload using manual and electric pallet trucks.
• Operate and use tail lift safely and efficiently.
• Perform daily vehicle safety checks before shifts.
• Follow transport legislation and company procedures.
• Complete collection paperwork accurately.
• Ensure loads are secured correctly for transport.
• Wash and fuel vehicles using client facilities.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and biosecurity.
