Job summary

Driver Hire Edinburgh City are recruiting reliable HGV Drivers for a poultry industry client in the Scottish Borders. The role covers multi-drop collections, loading with pallet trucks and tail lifts, and daily vehicle checks.

All successful candidates will complete a full day of paid training before starting and have the potential for temp-to-perm opportunities, with early morning shifts and guaranteed 8-hour blocks.

Qualifications

• HGV driving experience with multi-drop collections.
• Strong focus on health and safety in a live transport environment.
• Experience with loading/unloading using pallet trucks and tail lifts.

Responsibilities

• Drive HGV vehicles safely and professionally.
• Complete multi-drop collections throughout the day.
• Load and unload using pallet trucks with tail lift operation.
• Conduct daily vehicle safety checks before and after shifts.
• Complete collection paperwork accurately and efficiently.
• Ensure loads are secured for transport and report defects.
• Wash and fuel vehicles at client sites as required.
• Provide excellent customer service at collection sites.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and biosecurity.
