Workchain in Leeds is seeking an experienced HGV Class 1 Driver for a busy transport operation. This temporary role covers day shifts, with a possibility of permanent employment for suitable candidates, and involves multi-temperature refrigerated loads.

You will drive safely, perform vehicle checks, complete paperwork, and follow site procedures while delivering to multiple drops per day. The role offers £17.00–£17.50 per hour and weekly payments, with potential for ongoing work.

Qualifications

• Must hold valid HGV Class 1 entitlement.
• Experience in fridge work or temperature-controlled transport is required.
• Good knowledge of driving and vehicle safety procedures.
• Reliable, punctual and professional approach.

Responsibilities

• Drive HGV Class 1 vehicles safely and responsibly.
• Complete planned deliveries and collections.
• Handle refrigerated and temperature-controlled loads.
• Carry out vehicle checks and report defects.
• Complete delivery paperwork and use transport systems.
• Follow site, road safety and customer procedures.
• Maintain high standards of professionalism during deliveries.
