Lockwood Group Ltd is hiring for an HGV Class 1 driver based from S&R Smith and Son, RM20 4EL. You will undertake general haulage, maintain high levels of customer service, and ensure timely communication with the Transport team while delivering goods professionally.

Ideal candidates are fully qualified with CPC and Digi card, and have a good understanding of Tachograph and WTD rules; reliability and punctuality are essential, with experience preferred but not mandatory.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified HGV Class 1 (C+E) driver with CPC and Digi card.
• Good understanding of Tachograph and Working Time Directive rules.
• Reliable, punctual and flexible with excellent communication skills.
• Previous Class 1 experience is preferred but not essential.

Responsabilités

• General haulage duties.

Established in 1965, the Lockwood Group is a family run business and currently has over 400employees spanning 8UK sites. The group’s activities include UK haulage and storage, frozen food production and co-packing solutions.

S&R Smith and Son, West Thurrock (part of the Lockwood Group of Companies) specialise in general haulage & distribution in and around the South East of England.

New business developments on the horizon are allowing us to recruit experienced HGV drivers. We are looking for drivers to be based from S&R Smith and Son, RM20 4EL.

Shift Pattern:

Sunday - ThursdayNights

Hours:

44 hours guarenteed pay per week, based on a full time working week. Salary range based on on target earnings. Hours may vary in accordance with business needs and reasonable additional hours may be required.

Rate:

£17.00per hour

• General Haulage

Ideally the candidates would meet the following requirements:

• Candidates will be a fully qualified HGV Class 1 (C+E) driver with a CPC, valid Digi card and a good understanding of Tachograph and WTD rules.
• You will be reliable and punctual and have a flexible approach
• Good verbal communication with excellent customer service skills and a professional approach
• Previous Class 1 experience is preferred but not essential.
