Job summary

Culina Transport is recruiting permanent HGV Class 1 drivers for our Carlisle depot to support general haulage, store and RDC deliveries across the region. The role suits drivers who take pride in safe driving, customer service and dependable delivery standards.

Shifts are weekend-heavy (Saturday and Sunday), with start times from 05:00 to 07:00. We offer pay ranging from £17.60 to £18.41 per hour, plus benefits including paid holiday, uniform, DCPC training, and reward schemes.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid C+E Licence and ideally have a minimum of 6 months HGV Class 1 driving experience.
• Hold a current valid DCPC & Tachograph cards.
• Understand and comply with Driver's hours and WTD legislation.

Responsibilities

• Complete vehicle checks and documentation.

Job description

We are recruiting permanent HGV Class 1 drivers to join us at our depot in Carlisle to support our General Haulage operation, completing store and RDC deliveries across the region. This role is ideal for a HGV driver who takes pride in safe driving, excellent customer service and dependable delivery standards.,

• Supporting General work, including occasional store deliveries and requirement to load and unload cages
• Completing all necessary vehicle checks and documentation
• Maintaining high levels of safety, compliance, and professionalism
• Working closely with the transport team to ensure smooth operations
• Adhere to Driver's hours, WTD, and tachograph legislation. You should hold a valid C+E Licence and ideally have a minimum of 6 months HGV Class 1 driving experience (We will consider New Pass Drivers)
• No more than 6 points and no DD/ DR Code convictions.
• Hold a current valid DCPC & Tacho cards.
• Understand and able to comply with Driver's hours and WTD legislation.
• Able to understand and carry out necessary vehicle checks to ensure vehicle safety and able to report defects correctly.
• Should comply with on-site health and safety requirements.

Pay Rates: We have increased our pay rates, with rates now ranging from £17.60 to £18.41 per hour, depending on shift - giving you even more reason to build your driving career with us.

• Saturday and Sunday Day Shift - £17.60 per hour
• Bank Holidays - £18.41 per hour.
