Job summary

Culina Group is recruiting permanent HGV Class 1 drivers to join our Transport Logistics operation in the Cumbria area. You will collect loaded trailers from customer sites and deliver to warehouses, upholding safety, customer service and on-time delivery standards.

We offer shift patterns, competitive hourly pay from £14.60 to £18.41, plus a tax-free £5 per shift meal allowance. Benefits include life cover, uniform and PPE, DCPC training, and a range of employee discounts.

Qualifications

• HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence is required.
• Driver CPC qualification required.
• Digital Tachograph Card is required.
• Previous Class 1 driving experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collect loaded trailers from customer sites and deliver to warehouses around Cumbria.
• Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle checks and complete all documentation.
• Maintain high safety, compliance and professional standards.
• Work closely with transport team to ensure smooth operations.
• Adhere to drivers hours, working time directive (WTD) and tachograph rules.

We are recruiting permanent HGV Class 1 drivers to join supporting our operation in the Cumbria area, supporting collecting loaded trailers from a customer site and delivering to warehouses around Cumbria area. This role is ideal for a HGV driver who takes pride in safe driving, excellent customer service and dependable delivery standards.

The roles are full time, working on a permanent basis, Shift Pattern for this role is as below:

• Friday to Monday Days 05:00-07:00

Pay Rates:

We have increased our pay rates, with rates now ranging from £14.60 to £18.41 per hour, depending on shift – giving you even more reason to build your driving career with us.

• Mon-Fri Days - £14.60 per hour
• Saturday and Sunday Day Shift - £17.60 per hour
• Bank Holidays - £18.41 per hour.

On top of base salary our HGV Drivers will be entitled to £5 per shift tax-free meal allowance

Driver Responsibilities:

• Collection of loaded trailers and delivery to Warehouse, requirement to Tip and drop trailers
• Trailers are Pre-loaded at customer sites
• Collection from docks for delivery to customer sites
• Completing all necessary vehicle checks and documentation
• Maintaining high levels of safety, compliance, and professionalism
• Working closely with the transport team to ensure smooth operations
• Adhere to Driver's hours, WTD, and tachograph legislation.

• Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) Licence
• Valid Driver CPC qualification
• Digital Tachograph Card
• A professional and safety-focused approach
• Previous Class 1 driving experience preferred
