Job summary

JRL Plant & Logistics is seeking an experienced HGV Class 1 driver for a permanent role based in Borehamwood, WD6. The position starts immediately and involves driving articulated flatbed trucks with occasional nights out.

You will need a valid HGV Class 1 licence, Full CPC, and Digi-tacho, plus knowledge of drivers hours rules and the Working Time Directive. Good communication and paperwork skills are essential.

Qualifications

• HGV Class 1 licence with UK driving experience.
• Full CPC and Digi-tacho card are required.
• Knowledge of drivers hours rules and WTD for mobile workers.
• Ability to complete paperwork accurately and on time.

Responsibilities

• Drive HGV articulated flatbed vehicle.
• Occasional nights out/tramping as required.
• Adhere to current EU drivers hours rules and working time directive.
• Communicate politely with customers and colleagues.
• Understand and manage various ticket and aggregate types.

JRL Plant & Logistics are looking for an experienced HGV Class 1 driver for a permanent position based in Borehamwood, WD6. This position is available to start immediately.

Role and responsibilities

• Driving HGV articulated flatbed
• Some nights out / tramping will be required
• Must be able to follow current legislation EU drivers hours rules, Working time directive for mobile workers, Road Transport directive
• Must be able to communicate in a courteous and helpful manner at all times.
• Must understand the various types of ticket and aggregate types

Qualifications and Experience

• HGV Class 1 licence
• Experience of driving in the UK
• Experience of delivering construction equipment / materials preferred
• Full CPC and Digi-tacho card
• Good understanding of driver’s hours and working time
• Ability to complete paperwork

Salary & Benefits

• £17.00 per hour Monday to Friday
• performance related bonus after 3 months
• £18.50 per hour weekends
• £22.50 Nights Out
• 10 hour shifts
• Full Uniform Provided
