Job summary

Thames Reinforcements Ltd, based in Sheerness, Kent, is seeking an experienced HGV Class 1 driver for a permanent position. The role involves driving an articulated flatbed, with occasional nights out, and strict compliance with driver hours rules and construction site logistics.

Applicants should hold a Class 1 licence, CPC, and Digi-tacho, with UK driving experience. You will be required to complete paperwork accurately and communicate professionally at all times.

Qualifications

• HGV Class 1 licence.
• Experience of driving in the UK.
• Experience of delivering construction equipment / materials preferred.
• Full CPC and Digi-tacho card.
• Good understanding of driver’s hours and working time.
• Ability to complete paperwork.

Responsibilities

• Driving HGV articulated flatbed.
• Some nights out / tramping will be required.
• Must follow EU drivers hours rules and related directives.
• Must communicate in a courteous and helpful manner at all times.
• Must understand the various ticket and aggregate types.

Thames Reinforcements Ltd is based in Sheerness, Kent. Our state-of-the-art factory is a purpose built rebar plant with a production capacity of 1500 tonnes of CARES approved cut & bent reinforcement every week.

HGV Class 1 - Artic

JRL Plant & Logistics are looking for an experienced HGV Class 1 driver for a permanent position based in Sheerness, Kent. This position is available to start immediately.

Role and responsibilities

Driving HGV articulated flatbed
Some nights out / tramping will be required
Must be able to follow current legislation EU drivers hours rules, Working time directive for mobile workers, Road Transport directive
Must be able to communicate in a courteous and helpful manner at all times.
Must understand the various types of ticket and aggregate types

Qualifications and Experience

HGV Class 1 licence
Experience of driving in the UK
Experience of delivering construction equipment / materials preferred
Full CPC and Digi-tacho card
Good understanding of driver’s hours and working time
Ability to complete paperwork

Salary & Benefits

£17.00 per hour Monday to Friday
performance related bonus after 3 months
£18.50 per hour weekends
£22.50 Nights Out
