Job summary

JRL Plant & Logistics in Borehamwood, WD6, is seeking an experienced HGV Class 1 driver for a permanent role, starting immediately. You will drive articulated flatbeds, with some nights out/tramping required, and you will adhere to EU driver hours rules and the Working Time Directive.

Candidates must hold HGV Class 1 licence with CPC and Digi-Tacho, have UK driving experience, and be capable of completing paperwork accurately; full uniform is provided and 28 days holiday pro rata.

Qualifications

• Hold a valid HGV Class 1 licence with CPC and Digi-Tacho card.
• Experience of driving in the UK is preferred.
• Ability to accurately complete paperwork and administrative tasks.
• Good communication and customer-facing skills.

Responsibilities

• Drive HGV articulated flatbed.
• Some nights out / tramping will be required.
• Follow EU drivers hours rules and Working Time Directive for mobile workers.
• Communicate in a courteous and helpful manner at all times.
• Understand ticket and aggregate types.

JRL Plant & Logistics are looking for an experienced HGV Class 1 driver for a permanent position based in Borehamwood, WD6. This position is available to start immediately.

Role and responsibilities

• Driving HGV articulated flatbed
• Some nights out / tramping will be required
• Must be able to follow current legislation EU drivers hours rules, Working time directive for mobile workers, Road Transport directive
• Must be able to communicate in a courteous and helpful manner at all times.
• Must understand the various types of ticket and aggregate types

Qualifications and Experience

• HGV Class 1 licence
• Experience of driving in the UK
• Experience of delivering construction equipment / materials preferred
• Full CPC and Digi-tacho card
• Good understanding of driver’s hours and working time
• Ability to complete paperwork

Salary & Benefits

• £17.00 per hour Monday to Friday
• performance related bonus after 3 months
• £18.50 per hour weekends£22.50 Nights Out
• 10 hour shifts
