Job summary

First Military Recruitment Ltd is seeking an experienced Class 1 Driver (Artic) for a permanent role in Birmingham. Salary £40,000-£42,000 depending on experience, with Monday-to-Friday shifts starting at 07:30 and finishing around 16:30.

Ideal candidates will have container experience; essential are Full Class 1 (C+E), Driver CPC, and Digital Tachograph card, and applicants must be aged 25 or over for insurance purposes.

Qualifications

• Full Class 1 (C+E) licence is required.
• Driver CPC qualification is required.
• Valid Digital Tachograph card is required.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate an articulated HGV vehicle.
• Transport containers safely and efficiently to and from customer locations.
• Complete all required vehicle and delivery documentation.
• Carry out daily vehicle safety checks and report any defects.
• Ensure all loads are secured and transported in accordance with relevant legislation.
• Maintain high standards of professionalism when dealing with customers and other road users.
• Comply with all relevant road transport, health and safety regulations.

Education

Full Class 1 (Category C+E) licence

Overview

Our client, based in Birmingham, is currently looking for an experienced Artic Driver with container experience to join their team on a permanent basis.

The role offers regular Monday-to-Friday working hours, with shifts starting at 07:30 and finishing at approximately 16:30. Weekend work is very rare, providing an excellent opportunity for a driver looking for a consistent Monday-to-Friday position.

Ideally, but not essential, the successful candidate will have container driving experience.

Key Responsibilities
