Job summary

Driver Require LTD is recruiting HGV Class 1 Drivers for a client base at Bermuda Park, Nuneaton. Temp to perm opportunities available for the right driver. Shifts are typically 8–10 hours with afternoons starting 14:30–15:00 and occasional Sundays.

Roles involve local deliveries within the West Midlands, use of pump truck, and strict adherence to daily vehicle checks and customer site rules. CPC qualification and a clean license with ≤6 points are required.

Qualifications

• 12 months experience of driving Class 1 vehicles on UK roads.
• Maximum 6 points on licence with no major convictions (DD/DR/IN10's).
• Driver CPC qualification card.

Responsibilities

• Local deliveries and collections all within the West Mids area.
• Use of manual pump truck in back of the trailer whilst forklift loads / unloads pallets.
• Ensure that daily vehicle checks are carried out and any defects are reported, ensuring the vehicle and its load are road-worthy.
• Liaising with Customers
• Abide by customers rules and regulations whilst on site
• Liaising with the Transport Team to ensure status of deliveries
• Effectively managing driving time to avoid infringements.

Monday to Friday (closed on bank holidays)

Occasional Sundays

Afternoon starts between 14:30 - 15:00

8 - 10 hours shifts

PAYE Rates

Mon - Fri = £18 per hour (£20.17 with holiday pay inclusive)

Saturdays: £18.50 per hour (£20.63 with holiday pay inclusive)

Sundays: £20 per hour (£22.41 with holiday pay inclusive)

• Ensure that daily vehicle checks are carried out and any defects are duly reported, ensuring the vehicle and its load are road-worthy and do not pose a threat to other road-users.
• Liaising with Customers
• Abide by customers rules and regulations whilst on site
• Liaising with the Transport Team to ensure that they are kept appraised of the status of your delivery and whereabouts
• Effectively managing your driving time so that you don't acquire infringements.
