Job summary

Driver Require are recruiting Class 1 Drivers for a manufacturing company based in Lichfield. We're looking for morning or night shift, any 4 hour window between 18:00 - 09:00.

Delivering to major RDCs with some multi-drop, performing daily vehicle checks, and liaising with customers and the Transport Team to keep everyone updated on delivery status. Ongoing work with competitive pay rates and a reputable client.

Qualifications

• 2 years' experience driving Class 1 vehicles on UK roads.

PAYE Day Pay Rates

• Weekday: £210.00 (£235.30 with holiday pay inclusive)
• Weekend: £235.00 (£264.50 with holiday pay inclusive)

Main Responsibilities

• Delivering to major RDC's with some multi-drop
• Farm collections drop and swap
• Ensure that daily vehicle checks are carried out and any defects are duly reported, ensuring the vehicle and its load are road-worthy and do not pose a threat to other road-users.
• Liaising with Customers
• Abide by customers rules and regulations whilst on site
• Liaising with the Transport Team to ensure that they are kept appraised of the status of your delivery and whereabouts
• Effectively managing your driving time so that you don't acquire infringements.

Skills and Experience Required

• 2 year's experience of driving Class 1 vehicles on UK roads
• Maximum 6 points on licence with no major convictions (DD/DR/IN10's)
• Driver CPC qualification card
