Job summary

HGV Class 1 driver role based in Northampton (NN6) with 40–60 hours per week and immediate start after assessment. You will trunk goods to client stores across the UK from the RDC and, on some deliveries, unload using a pump truck. Shifts include 4on 4 off or any 5 out of 7 with early start times.

Requirements include a Class 1/C+E license, Tacho and CPC cards, and a maximum of six points. Ongoing work with PAYE rates is available.

Qualifications

• Hold valid Class 1 / C+E License.
• No more than 6 points (No DDs, DRs, TT's or IN's).
• Hold valid Tacho and CPC cards.
• Must have at least 6 months experience on Class 1.

Responsibilities

• Trunk goods to client stores across the UK from the RDC.
• May be required to unload trailers using pump truck.
• Shift patterns include 4on 4 off or any 5 out of 7; start times 03:00–10:00.

24-7 Recruitment Services acting as an Employment Business are currently recruiting for experienced HGV Class 1 driver on behalf of our client in Northampton (NN6).

We require HGV Class 1 driver to work on an ongoing basis. Working out of their RDC you will be trunking goods to a client stores throughout the UK. On some of the deliveries drivers are required to unload the trailer using pump truck. Strapping experience would be an advantage as client has a mixture fleet.

HGV Class 1 driver will require:

• Hold valid a Class 1 / C+E License
• No more than 6 points (No DD's, DR's, TT's or IN's)
• Hold valid Tacho and CPC cards
• MUST have at least 6 months experience on Class 1

HGV Class 1 driver work will involve:

• Working for one of fastest growing business in the Midlands, our client offers new modern trucks and continuity of work
• Long term ongoing position
• 40-60 hours per week (on average)
• Immediate start available after assessment

Available shift patterns are:

• 4on 4 off rolling rota
• Any 5 out of 7
• Start times between 03:00 – 10:00

HGV Class 1 driver will receive:

• PAYE rates
• Days £17.66 per hour
• OT after 48 weekly hours £26.49 per hour
