Job summary

Driver Require LTD in the United Kingdom (Nuneaton) is seeking HGV Class 1 drivers for Bermuda Park, Nuneaton. Temp to perm opportunities exist for the right driver. Shifts are 8–10 hours with Monday to Friday work, occasional Sundays, and some Saturdays.

Afternoon starts occur between 14:30 and 15:00. Role involves local deliveries in the West Midlands, manual pump truck use, daily vehicle checks, and liaising with customers and the Transport Team to keep deliveries on track.

Qualifications

• 12 months experience of driving Class 1 vehicles on UK roads.
• Maximum 6 points on licence with no major convictions (DD/DR/IN10s).
• Driver CPC qualification card.

Responsibilities

• Local deliveries and collections within the West Midlands area.
• Use of manual pump truck in back of the trailer while loading/unloading pallets.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report defects so vehicles are roadworthy.

PAYE Rates

Mon - Fri = £18 per hour (£20.17 with holiday pay inclusive)

Saturdays: £18.50 per hour (£20.63 with holiday pay inclusive)

Sundays: £20 per hour (£22.41 with holiday pay inclusive)

Driver Require are recruiting Class 1 Drivers for a client based at Bermuda Park, Nuneaton. Temp to perm opportunities are available for the right driver.

Main Responsibilities

• Local deliveries and collections all within the West Mids area
• Use of manual pump truck in back of the trailer whilst forklift loads / unloads pallets
• Ensure that daily vehicle checks are carried out and any defects are duly reported, ensuring the vehicle and its load are road-worthy and do not pose a threat to other road-users.
• Liaising with Customers
• Abide by customers rules and regulations whilst on site
• Liaising with the Transport Team to ensure that they are kept appraised of the status of your delivery and whereabouts
• Effectively managing your driving time so that you don't acquire infringements.
