Job summary

People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 1 Driver to join our well-established client based in West Bromwich, West Midlands.

The role offers excellent hourly rates, ongoing work, weekly pay, an on-site canteen, and training with immediate starts. You will operate Class 1 CE vehicles, perform inspections, and ensure loads are secured while delivering to DCs and supermarkets. Shifts run Mon-Sun with 14:00–18:00 starts.

Qualifications

• Valid UK Category CE driving licence.
• Minimum of 6 months' experience driving CE vehicles.
• Valid UK Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph card.
• No more than six penalty points and no major endorsements.
• Good spoken and written English.
• Punctual with excellent time-keeping.
• Good understanding of traffic laws.
• Effective communication with dispatch and customers.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out RDC deliveries
• Operating and driving Class 1 (CE) vehicles safely and efficiently
• Carrying out pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
• Ensuring loads are loaded and secured correctly
• Adhering to traffic laws and regulations
• Communicating effectively with dispatch and customers
• Reporting any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to management
• Assisting with loading and unloading of cargo as required
• Delivering trays to DCs and supermarkets

HGV Class 1 Driver - West Bromwich

People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 1 Driver to join our well-established client based in West Bromwich, West Midlands.

This is a fantastic opportunity offering great rates of pay and genuine opportunities to grow and progress.

This position is ideal for applicants looking for a role as a LGV Class 1 Driver, CE Driver or Articulated Lorry Driver.

Shifts

• Monday - Sunday (5 days out of 7)
• Afternoon starts between 14:00 and 18:00

Rates of Pay

• £17.20 per hour (basic)
• £20.00 per hour after 20:00 (Monday to Saturday)
• £22.00 per hour (Sunday)

Day-to-Day Duties
