Job summary

People Solutions are recruiting for an HGV Class 1 Driver to join our client in Sheffield, South Yorkshire. The role offers £17.50 per hour, weekly pay, ongoing work and a genuine temp-to-perm opportunity in a reputable logistics operation.

The ideal candidate will hold a UK Category CE licence, CPC and Tachograph cards, with at least one year of Class 1 driving experience and a clean penalty points record. Training and progression are available.

Qualifications

• Valid UK Category CE (Class 1) Driving Licence.
• Minimum of one year's HGV Class 1 driving experience.
• Valid CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card.
• No more than six penalty points for minor infringements.
• Good spoken and written English.
• Professional and reliable approach to work.
• Desirable: previous commercial driving experience.

Responsibilities

• Completing depot-to-depot trunking routes and trailer swaps.
• Carrying out pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Ensuring all loads are secured safely and correctly.
• Undertaking handball duties where required.
• Adhering to road traffic legislation, company procedures and delivery schedules.
• Completing all relevant paperwork accurately.

People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 1 Driver to join our well-established client based in Sheffield, South Yorkshire. This is a fantastic opportunity offering £17.50 per hour, ongoing work, weekly pay, a genuine temp-to-perm opportunity, and career progression within a reputable logistics operation.

This role would suit candidates with experience as an HGV Class 1 Driver, LGV Class 1 Driver, Category CE Driver, Articulated Lorry Driver, Trunk Driver or Class 1 Delivery Driver.

Shifts

• Monday to Friday (nights out may be required)
• Start times between 04:00 - 07:00 or 12:00 - 16:00
• Weekend work available to meet business needs

Rates of Pay: £17.50 per hour
