Job summary

Culina Transport is recruiting permanent HGV Class 1 Drivers to join our team at Morrisons RDC, Bridgwater. You will deliver goods safely and on time with fixed day/night patterns and opportunities for overtime.

We offer competitive hourly pay up to £32.49 per hour, with weekend work included, full training, and benefits including 28 days holiday, uniform and PPE, DCPC training, and life assurance.

Qualifications

• You should hold a valid C+E Licence.
• Minimum 6 months HGV Class 1 driving experience or new passes considered.
• No more than 6 points and no DD/ DR convictions.
• DCPC & Tachograph cards held.
• Understand Driver hours and WTD legislation.
• Ability to perform vehicle checks and report defects.
• Comply with on-site health and safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• General haulage using curtainside trailers to distribution centres and stores.
• Store collections and returns to distribution centres.
• Complete vehicle safety checks and associated paperwork.
• Work with transport team to ensure efficient operations.
• Maintain high standards of safety, compliance and customer service.
• Adhere to Drivers' Hours, WTD and tachograph legislation.
• Occasionally assist with loading/unloading as required.
• Trunking work available depending on operations.

We are currently recruiting permanent HGV Class 1 Drivers to join our team at Morrisons RDC, Bridgwater. This is an excellent opportunity for professional drivers looking for secure, full-time employment with competitive rates of pay and regular work.

We have fixed shift patterns available, offering stability and work-life balance while supporting our busy transport operation.

Available Shift Patterns

Day shift Shift

• Thursday to Monday
• Start time between 12:00-14:00

Weekend working is included within the shift pattern.

• £18.05 per hour

The Role

As an HGV Class 1 Driver, you'll play a key role in supporting our transport operation, ensuring goods are delivered safely, professionally, and on time.

Your responsibilities will include:

• General haulage using curtainside trailers to Distribution Centres and Stores
• Store collections and returns to Distribution Centres
• Completing vehicle safety checks and associated paperwork
• Working closely with the transport team to ensure efficient operations
• Maintaining high standards of safety, compliance, and customer service
• Adhering to Drivers' Hours, WTD, and tachograph legislation
• Supporting operational requirements, including occasional loading and unloading where required
• Trunking work available subject to operational requirements

Qualifications

• You should hold a valid C+E Licence and ideally have a minimum of 6 months HGV Class 1 driving experience (We will consider New Pass Drivers)
• No more than 6 points and no DD/ DR Code convictions.
• Hold a current valid DCPC & Tacho cards.
• Understand and able to comply with Driver’s hours and WTD legislation.
• Able to understand and carry out necessary vehicle checks to ensure vehicle safety and able to report defects correctly.
• Should comply with on-site health and safety requirements.
• Excellent communication skills.
