Culina is recruiting permanent HGV Class 1 drivers for the Morrisons RDC in Bellshill to support Rail Container operations, transporting shipping containers to customer sites across Cumbria and Scotland. Starting 05:00–07:00 on Monday to Friday, with premium pay depending on shift.

Roles are full-time, offering various shifts with rates from £14.60 to £18.41 per hour plus a £5 per shift meal allowance. Benefits include extensive holiday entitlement, uniform/PPE, and health and wellbeing programs.

Qualificações

• Valid C+E Licence with at least 6 months HGV Class 1 experience.
• No more than 6 points and no DD/DR convictions.
• DCPC & Tachograph cards held.
• Knowledge of Driver hours and WTD rules.
• Able to carry out vehicle checks and report defects.
• Compliance with on-site health and safety requirements.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Support general haulage operations as required.
• Complete all vehicle checks and documentation.
• Maintain high levels of safety, compliance and professionalism.

Job Description

We are recruiting permanent HGV Class 1 drivers to join us, working out of the Morrisons RDC in Bellshill, to support our Rail Container operations, transporting shipping containers from railheads and terminals to customer sites throughout Cumbria and Scotland. This role is ideal for a HGV driver who takes pride in safe driving, excellent customer service and dependable delivery standards.

The roles are full time, working on a permanent basis and due to Rail timetables require a 05:00-07:00 start for Days on a Monday to Friday shift pattern.

Pay Rates

We have increased our pay rates, with rates now ranging from £14.60 to £18.41 per hour, depending on shift – giving you even more reason to build your driving career with us.

• Mon-Fri Days - £14.60 per hour
• Saturday and Sunday Day Shift - £17.60 per hour
• Bank Holidays - £18.41 per hour.

On top of base salary our HGV Drivers will be entitled to £5 per shift tax-free meal allowance.

Driver Responsibilities

• Load Containers out of Railheads using Skelly Trailers
• Collecting and Delivering Containers to Customer sites
• Supporting General Haulage operation as required
• Completing all necessary vehicle checks and documentation
• Maintaining high levels of safety, compliance, and professionalism
• Working closely with the transport team to ensure smooth operations
• Adhere to Driver's hours, WTD, and tachograph legislation.

Qualifications

• You should hold a valid C+E Licence and ideally have a minimum of 6 months HGV Class 1 driving experience
• No more than 6 points and no DD/ DR Code convictions.
• Hold a current valid DCPC & Tacho cards.
• Understand and able to comply with Driver’s hours and WTD legislation.
• Able to understand and carry out necessary vehicle checks to ensure vehicle safety and able to report defects correctly.
• Should comply with on-site health and safety requirements.
• Excellent communication skills.
