Job summary

Culina is seeking permanent HGV Class 1 Drivers for roles at Morrisons RDC, Bridgwater. Earn competitive hourly rates with day and night shifts offered, and weekend working included within patterns. You will deliver goods safely and on time, working with the transport team to ensure efficient operations.

New pass drivers are considered. Valid C+E licence and DCPC/Tachograph cards required, along with adherence to drivers hours regulations and vehicle checks.

Qualifications

• Valid C+E Licence and DCPC & Tachograph cards.
• Minimum 6 months HGV Class 1 driving experience; new pass drivers considered.
• No more than 6 points and no DD/ DR convictions; ability to comply with Driver’s Hours and WTD regulations.
• Ability to carry out vehicle checks and report defects; follow on-site health and safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• General haulage using curtainside trailers to Distribution Centres and Stores.
• Store collections and returns to Distribution Centres.
• Completing vehicle safety checks and associated paperwork.
• Work with transport team to ensure efficient operations.
• Maintain high standards of safety, compliance and customer service.
• Adhere to Drivers' Hours, WTD and tachograph legislation.
• Support loading/unloading and trunking work as required.

We are currently recruiting permanent HGV Class 1 Drivers to join our team at Morrisons RDC, Bridgwater. This is an excellent opportunity for professional drivers looking for secure, full-time employment with competitive rates of pay and regular work.

The Role

As an HGV Class 1 Driver, you'll play a key role in supporting our transport operation, ensuring goods are delivered safely, professionally, and on time.

Your responsibilities will include:

• General haulage using curtainside trailers to Distribution Centres and Stores
• Store collections and returns to Distribution Centres
• Completing vehicle safety checks and associated paperwork
• Working closely with the transport team to ensure efficient operations
• Maintaining high standards of safety, compliance, and customer service
• Adhering to Drivers' Hours, WTD, and tachograph legislation
• Supporting operational requirements, including occasional loading and unloading where required
• Trunking work available subject to operational requirements

Qualifications

• You should hold a valid C+E Licence and ideally have a minimum of 6 months HGV Class 1 driving experience (We will consider New Pass Drivers)
• No more than 6 points and no DD/ DR Code convictions.
• Hold a current valid DCPC & Tacho cards.
• Understand and able to comply with Driver’s hours and WTD legislation.
• Able to understand and carry out necessary vehicle checks to ensure vehicle safety and able to report defects correctly.
• Should comply with on-site health and safety requirements.
