Job summary

Veolia in Newbridge is seeking a driver to operate heavy goods vehicles and transport vehicles between sites. The role is based in Newbridge, with a 40-hour week Monday to Friday, early start, and possible weekend overtime. You will contribute to Veolia's essential services and environment-focused mission.

The position requires a C+E licence and an up-to-date Driver CPC, with overtime and a comprehensive benefits package provided by Veolia.

Qualifications

• C+E Licence held with recent driving experience
• Driver CPC up to date and valid
• Experience with vacuum tankers is advantageous

Responsibilities

• Safely transporting vehicles and plant between locations
• Operating and maintaining heavy goods vehicles
• Managing products and materials, loading and unloading
• Ensuring vehicle condition and roadworthiness and reporting issues
• Completing required forms and logs for safety and compliance
• Mentoring new drivers when required

Salary: £36,941.00 plus Veolia benefits

Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 4.30am - 1pm, 30 minute unpaid lunch break

Overtime when needed including weekends

What you'll be doing;

With one of the largest growing fleets in the UK, our drivers are pivotal to delivering essential services. They work hard to serve their local communities and make a positive impact every day.

• Safely transporting vehicles and plant between various locations
• Operating and maintaining heavy goods vehicles
• Managing products and materials, loading and unloading
• Operating vehicles in line with all training, procedures and legal requirements to protect the safety of yourself, your team and the public.
• Checking your vehicle for condition and roadworthiness, completing the appropriate forms and reporting any issues immediately
• Mentoring new drivers when required

What we're looking for;

• C+E Licence and experience
• An up to date Driver CPC
• Experience of driving and operating vacuum tankers would be advantageous
