Job summary

IAE seeks an experienced HGV Class 1 driver to join our professional fleet and deliver a wide range of products nationwide. You will report to the transport manager and maintain accurate paperwork while upholding safety and customer service standards.

The role is full-time, generally Monday-Friday, with a permanent contract and competitive pay. Training is available for the right candidate, with good company benefits and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Full UK HGV/LGV Class 1 (Category C+E) licence.
• Digital Tachograph Driver Card.
• Previous HGV driving experience essential.
• Good knowledge of UK roads.
• Reliable, punctual and professional.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• A strong commitment to safety.
• To be eligible for the role you will have a valid Class 1 licence, digital tachograph card and CPC Card.

Responsibilities

Job description

We are looking to appoint an additional HGV Class 1 driver to join our fleet of professional drivers. Reporting directly to our transport manager you will deliver a wide range of products nationwide.

The successful candidate’s main responsibilities will be:

• The safe and efficient operation of company vehicles.
• Providing an effective and reliable multi-drop delivery service to customers.
• Ensuring the safe and correct loading of vehicles.
• Maintaining all supporting paperwork.
• Driving and maintaining the vehicle in accordance with relevant road transport and traffic legislation, as well as company policies and procedures.
• Representing the company in a professional manner at all times.

Requirements

• Full UK HGV/LGV Class 1 (Category C+E) licence.
• Digital Tachograph Driver Card.
• Previous HGV driving experience essential.

To be eligible for the role you will have a valid Class 1 licence, digital tachograph card and CPC Card.

Ideally, you will have experience delivering large goods and have a good understanding of the UK road network. If the above criteria is met training can be offered to the correct candidate showing the right aptitude.

You will be employed on a full-time contract generally Monday-Friday. The above positions will be rewarded with a permanent contract, competitive rates of pay, 32 days paid holidays per year plus loyalty days (up to 34 days), auto enrolment into our pension scheme which includes 5% employer contributions and employee life insurance. Other benefits include night out allowance, overtime and full uniform.
