MultiStaff Recruitment Solutions Ltd is seeking an experienced HGV Class 1 Driver to join our client’s logistics team in the Evesham area. The role involves operating large goods vehicles, delivering cargo, and ensuring compliance with transport regulations, while maintaining high customer service levels.

The successful candidate will perform pre/post-trip checks, plan routes, and work a night shift pattern (3pm–8pm starts with finish based on deliveries).

Qualifications

• HGV Class 1 (C+E) driving licence with a clean record.
• Proven experience as a commercial driver.
• Knowledge of transportation regulations and best practices.
• Ability to assist with loading/unloading when required.
• Strong organizational skills for documentation and route planning.
• Excellent communication with clients and dispatch.

Responsibilities

• Operate HGV Class 1 vehicles following safety and traffic rules.
• Plan efficient routes and manage pickups/deliveries on schedule.
• Secure loads to prevent movement or damage.
• Carry out pre/post-trip inspections and report issues.
• Maintain delivery paperwork and obtain signatures on delivery.
• Communicate with dispatchers and clients about schedules or issues.
• Adhere to health and safety policies and driving hours regulations.

We are seeking a professional and dependable HGV Class 1 Driver to join our Client's logistics team. This role involves operating large heavy goods vehicles to transport goods efficiently and safely across various routes. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering cargo, ensuring compliance with transportation regulations, and maintaining excellent customer service standards. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to a dynamic transportation operation dedicated to timely deliveries and operational excellence.

Duties

• Operate HGV Class 1 vehicles in accordance with all safety and traffic regulations
• Plan and follow efficient delivery routes, ensuring timely pickups and drop-offs
• Secure loads properly to prevent shifting or damage during transit
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any mechanical issues promptly
• Maintain accurate delivery documentation and obtain necessary signatures upon completion of deliveries
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and team members regarding delivery schedules and issues
• Adhere strictly to health and safety policies, including compliance with load securing procedures and driving hours regulations

Requirements

• Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) driving license with a clean driving record
• Proven experience as a commercial driver
• Knowledge of transportation regulations and best practices for safe driving
• Ability to handle physical aspects of loading/unloading cargo when required
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation and route planning
• Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with clients and team members

Salary of £43K is based on 50 hours per week. Shift pattern: Thursday, Friday, Sunday and Monday shift pattern (Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday off) This is a night shift pattern. Your start time can range from 3pm - 8pm and finish time will depend on when your deliveries are done.

Overtime pay is £18 Per hour.
