Culina Group is seeking professional HGV Class 1 Drivers to join the Culina Chilled & Fresh team in Teynham, supporting our Chilled operation and delivering to key retail customers across the UK. This permanent, full-time role focuses on safe driving, excellent customer service and dependable delivery standards.

You will join a supportive transport team that values safe driving, reliable service and high professional standards every day.

Qualifications

• Valid C+E licence and DCPC/tachograph cards required.
• Minimum 6 months HGV Class 1 driving experience preferred.
• No more than 6 points and clean driving record.
• Good understanding of Drivers’ Hours and Working Time Directive.
• Ability to perform pre-trip vehicle checks and report defects.

Responsibilities

• Carry out safe, professional deliveries to customer premises across the UK.
• Perform trunking, night outs, and local store deliveries as required.
• Complete nationwide palletised goods deliveries to RDCs, Farms and Packhouses.
• Report delays or issues to Transport team at shift start and during shifts.
• Ensure PODs are signed and returned and paperwork is accurate.
• Adhere to health, safety and hygiene standards on site.
• Manage working time in line with tachograph rules and RTD.
• Maintain professional behaviour and high customer service standards.

Job description

We're looking for professional HGV Class 1 Drivers to join our Culina Chilled & Fresh team in Teynham supporting our Chilled operation and delivering to key retail customers across the UK. This is a permanent role offering full-time stability for HGV Class 1 drivers who will be responsible for RDC, Farms and Packhouse deliveries. This role is ideal for a HGV driver who takes pride in safe driving, excellent customer service and dependable delivery standards. You'll be joining a supportive transport team where safe driving, reliable service and high professional standards are valued every day.

Shift patterns available

• Sun to Weds (02:00, 14:00, 17:00
• Sun, Tues, Weds and Fri (02:00
• Tues, Thurs, Fri and Sat (02:00)
• Tuesday to Thursday (19:00 start)
• Weds to Saturday (22:00 start
• Fri, Sat and Sunday (04:00 start)
• Thurs to Sat (10:00, 13:00, 17:00 start
• Thurs to Sun (12:00 start)

Weekend Driver shifts available

We offer flexibility in shift patterns and other shift patterns can be considered, let us know what you're looking for, we'll do our best to accommodate your preferences.

Salary:

Pay rates

Pay rates range from £15.84 - £25.41 per hour depending on shift, plus opportunity for overtime and subsistence allowance

What you'll be doing:

• Carry out safe, professional deliveries to customer premises across the UK.
• We have a variety of roles available including Night Outs, Trunking, and local store deliveries.
• Complete nationwide deliveries of palletised goods to Regional Distribution Centres, Farms and Packhouses
• Report to the Transport team at the start of each shift and keep them updated on delays, delivery issues or load discrepancies.
• Complete all paperwork accurately and ensure PODs are signed and returned to the Transport Office.
• Follow company procedures, including health, safety and hygiene standards.
• Manage your working time in line with the Road Transport Directive and tachograph rules.
• Complete daily vehicle checks and report defects correctly and take responsibility for your unit and trailer, including temperature checks where required.
• Maintain a professional standard of behaviour, appearance and customer service at all times.

What we're looking for:

• Valid C+E Licence.
• Current valid DCPC and Digital Tachograph cards.
• Minimum 6 months' HGV Class 1 driving experience preferred.
• Newly qualified drivers will be considered if you show the right attitude and willingness to learn.
• No more than 6 points on your licence, with no DD or DR code convictions.
• Good understanding of Drivers' Hours and Working Time Directive legislation.
• Ability to complete vehicle checks and report defects correctly.
• Commitment to on-site health and safety requirements.
• Excellent communication skills and a professional approach.
