People Solutions is recruiting an HGV Class 1 Driver in Rochdale for a Monday to Friday role with ongoing assignments and immediate starts. You will drive Category C+E vehicles, perform vehicle inspections, and deliver trunking depot-to-depot with occasional store deliveries.

The role offers paid induction, overtime opportunities, and weekly pay, with full-time hours and a supportive team environment in a leading logistics business.

Qualifications

• Valid UK Category C+E (Class 1) Driving Licence.
• Valid Driver CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card.
• No more than six penalty points for minor offences.
• No DR10, DG10, IN10, or TT99 endorsement codes.
• Good spoken and written English.

Responsibilities

• Completing trunking depot-to-depot deliveries with occasional store deliveries.
• Operating Category C+E vehicles safely and efficiently.
• Carrying out pre- and post-journey vehicle inspections.
• Ensuring all loads are secure and compliant with transport regulations.
• Adhering to all road traffic legislation and company procedures.
• Communicating effectively with the transport office and customers.
• Reporting any vehicle defects or maintenance requirements promptly.
• Assisting with loading and unloading when required.

HGV Class 1 Driver - Rochdale

People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 1 Driver based in Rochdale to join our well-established client.

This is a fantastic opportunity offering Monday to Friday working, ongoing assignments, weekly pay, overtime opportunities, immediate starts, a paid induction, and genuine long-term opportunities with a leading logistics business.

This role would suit candidates with experience as an LGV Class 1 Driver, Category CE Driver or Articulated Lorry Driver.

Rates of Pay:

• £18.00 per hour (Days)
• Weekly pay

Shift Pattern:

• Monday to Friday
• AM starts between 06:00 and 08:00

Day-to-Day Duties:

As an HGV Class 1 Driver, you will work:

Essential Skills:

To be successful as an HGV Class 1 Driver, you will need:

• A valid UK Category C+E (Class 1) Driving Licence

• Good spoken and written English
• Excellent punctuality and timekeeping
• A good understanding of UK road traffic legislation
• Strong communication skills

Training:

• Driver assessment required prior to starting
• One-day paid induction following a successful assessment
• Industry-related training and ongoing support throughout your assignment
