Job summary

Westwood Recruitment is seeking reliable HGV Class 1 drivers for day and night shifts, with occasional weekend work. You will operate C+E vehicles, manage container work from docks, and perform safety checks.

Qualifications

Job description

We are seeking reliable and experienced HGV Class 1 (C+E) Drivers to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating an HGV Class 1 (C+E) Days will be container work from the docks to customers and nights will be trailer swaps. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a background in driving modern HGV 1 (C +E) vehicles. The ideal applicant will demonstrate strong communication skills, a professional attitude, and a commitment to safety.

Duties

• Safely operate an HGV Class 1 ( C+E)truck in accordance with road safety regulations and company policies
• Trailer sawps of general Haulage ensuring timely and accurate drop-offs and container work from the port
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks to ensure operational safety.
• Follow all health and safety protocols, including adherence to driving hours regulations.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) driving license with a clean driving record
• Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with team members
• Knowledge of health and safety standards
• Ability to work independently, demonstrating organisational skills and reliability
• No more than 6 points
• No DD, DR & IN10 Endorsements showing

Pay rates:

Monday to Friday £160.00 - £180.00 day rate up to 12 hours. Hourly pay after 12 hours
