Job summary

Westwood Recruitment is seeking a reliable HGV Class 2 driver to deliver bakery products between sites in the Farnworth area. The role is 2 days per week, offering flexibility and a strong focus on safety and punctuality.

You will operate a Class 2 lorry, perform basic vehicle checks, and follow health and safety regulations. Ideal candidates have a clean license (Category C), good communication, and the ability to work independently.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence with a clean driving record.
• Strong communication skills to liaise with team members.
• Knowledge of health and safety standards.
• Ability to work independently with reliability and organisation.
• No more than 6 penalty points on licence and no DD/DR/TT99/IN10 endorsements.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a HGV Class 2 (C) vehicle in line with road safety regulations and company policies.
• Delivers bakery products between sites, ensuring timely, accurate drop-offs.
• Conducts routine vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks for safety.
• Adheres to driving hours regulations and health & safety procedures.
• Commitment to working 2 days per week.

We are seeking a reliable and experienced HGV Class 2 (C) Driver to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for operating a HGV Class 2 vehicle to deliver bakery products efficiently and safely from site to site.

This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a background in driving HGV Class 2 (C) vehicles that only want 2 days per week ongoing.

The ideal applicant will demonstrate strong communication skills, a professional attitude, and a commitment to safety.

Duties

• Safely operate a HGV Class 2 (C) lorry in accordance with road safety regulations and company policies


• Delivereis of bakery products to from site to site, ensuring timely and accurate drop-offs


• Conduct routine vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks to ensure operational safety.


• Follow all health and safety protocols, including adherence to driving hours regulations.


• You must commit to the 2 days per week


• Avilable to start in October

Qualifications
